Join Toll Group as a Category Manager – IT Projects, Melbourne

You’ll lead end-to-end sourcing across a diverse range of IT projects, including software, systems integrators, implementation partners, licensing, and infrastructure. Working at the heart of major transformation initiatives, you’ll play a key role in optimising supplier performance, influencing commercial outcomes, and enabling delivery at pace.

As the Category Manager for IT Projects you will be:

• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across IT projects from concept through to delivery.

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned to project timelines and business priorities.

• Negotiate complex contracts with software vendors, consultancies, and delivery partners.

• Act as a trusted advisor to IT and project stakeholders on vendor selection and procurement strategy.

• Drive cost optimisation, value creation, and risk mitigation across all sourcing activity.

• Manage supplier performance, ensuring delivery against KPIs and SLAs.   

About You

To be successful in the role, you will have:

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in procurement, with a strong focus on IT sourcing

• Proven track record across software, services, and technology supplier management

• Expertise in negotiation, commercial strategy, and contract management

• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across IT, Finance, and business teams

• A highly analytical mindset with the ability to deliver insights and drive decisions

• Experience working in fast-paced, project-driven environments
