The Change, Communications & Capability team plays a central role in enabling the firm to adopt new AI‑enabled processes, behaviours, and ways of working. Building on PwC’s established change management and communications approach, the team leads the design and delivery of the change, communication, and capability strategies that help the firm navigate transformational change and embed AI responsibly and effectively.

Why PwC?

At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health—giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential.

Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we’re building trust and shaping the future.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, tailor, and implement end-to-end change strategies that enable successful business transformation across Project Alkira for our people and functions.
  • Lead a small project team to execute the design and delivery across all Alkira initiatives.
  • Lead the delivery and execution of change initiatives for Project Alkira including communications, stakeholder engagement, and capability uplift.
  • Translate transformation goals into pragmatic change plans, aligned with business strategy and outcomes.
  • Drive planning and sequencing of change activities across strategy, design, and implementation phases.
  • Identify risks and issues impacting adoption and adjust change approaches to ensure benefits are realised.
  • Engage, influence, and align senior stakeholders and executives to secure sponsorship, direction, and commitment to change.
  • Cultivate a people-centric culture through leadership alignment and employee experience initiatives.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver change outcomes, providing guidance and clarity of roles and priorities.
  • Design and lead programs that uplift team capabilities (without requiring instructional design expertise), fostering a high-performing, learning-oriented environment.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams founded on trust, credibility, and collaboration.

What we’re looking for:

  • Extensive experience in change management across strategy, design, and planning.
  • Proven track record delivering complex change initiatives and achieving adoption at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior executives, building trusted advisor relationships.
  • Strong experience developing and leading capability uplift programs for teams.
  • Relationship-led with strong executive presence; able to command credibility with senior leaders.
  • Flexible, pragmatic problem solver with a proven ability to navigate organisational complexity.
  • Outcome-focused and growth-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability for impact and delivery.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer, able to simplify complexity and drive alignment.
  • Inclusive, empathetic leader who prioritises employee experience and engagement.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working across diverse sectors and change contexts.
  • Learning and global mindset to continually adapt and change the more we learn locally about AI and adopt global strategies and knowledge to assist local execution.
  • Ability to work across Lines of Services to bring together a firm wide change plan meeting the firm and LoS specific needs.

What you’ll gain:

  • The opportunity to work with leading organisations and cutting-edge technology that challenge and expand your expertise.
  • Flexibility means trusting you to choose when, where, and how you work—balancing what’s best for you, your team, and your clients to grow and thrive together.
  • Clear paths for career progression supported by continuous learning and leadership development.
  • Generous leave entitlements to support your work-life balance - including floating public holidays, birthday leave and ability to purchaseadditional leave on top of your four weeks.
  • A world-class parental leave policy offering up to 26 weeks of leave for caregivers, supporting your family and personal life.

We know that perks are as important as your financial rewards. Explore all the benefits that PwC has to offer here.

Ready to grow here and go further? Join PwC Australia as a Change Manager Lead - Director and make an impact that goes beyond the expected. Apply now and take your next step with a team shaping the future.
