What's the role?
The Content Licensing team at News Corp is experiencing significant growth and has an ambitious five-year plan ahead. This role supports that growth by helping monetise News Corp’s premium content and data across third-party platforms. You’ll focus on uncovering unlicensed B2B usage, converting those findings into commercial opportunities, and managing existing licensing partnerships to ensure compliance and revenue growth.
This is a senior individual contributor role with exposure to multiple business units and key stakeholders across legal, commercial, and technology teams. You’ll play a key part in shaping licensing and IP compliance strategy while driving measurable commercial outcomes.
Manage B2B licensing channels, partnerships and contracts, including negotiations, compliance and ongoing relationship management
Identify, investigate and assess unauthorised use of News Corp content and data in line with team strategy
Develop and implement compliance initiatives that uncover new revenue opportunities
Oversee end-to-end commercial activities including pricing, billing, royalties, budgeting and forecasting
Prepare investigation reports, case files and recommendations in collaboration with legal and internal stakeholders
Work across multi-disciplinary teams and external partners to deliver effective licensing and compliance outcomes
Who are you?
Vast experience in a mix of one or more of the following roles: Commercial/Sales, Regulatory, Legal, and/or Contract Management
Proven ability to self-manage projects and achieve set targets, with strong attention to detail
Progressive interpersonal skills, including presentation, communication, and being a team player
Strong reporting and documentation skills, with the ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with internal and external teams
Understanding of copyright rules is useful but not essential; able to manage priorities and work to strict timelines
Degree-qualified in Business, Legal, Social Sciences, and/or Compliance
