At Palm Lake Care Deception Bay, we’re seeking a passionate permanent Chef to elevate our dining experience. You’ll blend delicate flavours while meeting strict dietary, nutrition, and hydration needs.

Make Dining a Highlight

Dining is often the social heart of our residents’ day. You’ll:

• Manage special diets and fulfil resident wishes

• Work closely with the Chef Manager to prepare, present, and serve high-quality meals

• Ensure safe, exceptional service in a fast-paced kitchen

This role suits someone who thrives in a dynamic environment.

The Role & Roster

• Permanent position

• Fixed roster: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday (Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts)

What You Bring

Essential

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or working towards)

• 2+ years’ experience as a Chef/Cook

• Proven ability to lead a busy kitchen with multiple staff

• Strong communication and staff development focus

• Knowledge of hygiene practices

• Empathy for elderly residents and their families

• Positive attitude and teamwork ethos

Desirable

• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

• Experience in Australian aged care
