Brisbane Veterinary Specialist Centre (BVSC) is seeking a passionate, highly organised and client-focused Part-Time Administration Officer to join our team.

Working within a busy specialist veterinary hospital, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive experience for our clients and their pets from the moment they walk through our doors. This is a varied and rewarding part-time position, suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working as part of a team and genuinely cares about providing exceptional service.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in veterinary reception, medical reception, healthcare or a similarly client-focused environment
• Is genuinely passionate about providing outstanding customer service
• Communicates confidently and compassionately, particularly in challenging or emotional situations
• Is highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Has excellent attention to detail
• Can confidently manage competing demands while remaining calm and professional
• Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Is compassionate, reliable and committed to delivering a high standard of service to clients and their pets

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming clients and patients to our specialist hospital
• Managing a busy reception desk, phone calls and email enquiries
• Scheduling specialist appointments and coordinating bookings
• Liaising with referring veterinary clinics and our specialist teams
• Processing payments, estimates and client accounts
• Supporting the smooth flow of patients through the hospital
• Providing clear, compassionate and professional communication
• Maintaining accurate client and patient records
• Working closely with our veterinary, nursing and administration teams
