We are seeking a positive, professional, passionate and committed Clinical Lead - Clinical Psychologist to provide comprehensive clinical supervision to a diverse team of mental health clinicians including: Registered Psychologists, Provisional Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Counsellors and Mental Health Placement Students.

The Clinical Lead - Clinical Psychologist will work integratively and closely with the Clinical Director and Practice Manager to support and lead the clinic administrators, clinicians and clients towards great outcomes and achievement of their goals.

In order to engage fully with DHW clinical life, the Clinical Lead - Clinical Psychologist will have a moderate client load with clients across the lifespan and with a diversity of clinical presentations.

Job Description

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide mental health assessment, counselling, and consultancy across a range of presenting issues, cultural backgrounds, and age groups.
  • Provide clinical supervision to a diverse range of mental health clinicians.
  • Engage in strategic leadership in collaboration with the DHW Executive team.
  • Maintain compliance with professional practice standards and all relevant legislation.

The successful applicant will have:

  • An understanding of mental health conditions and previous experience in the mental health sector.
  • Full registration or eligibility for full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or eligibility to become endorsed.
  • Be a board approved supervisor or willing to complete BAS training.
  • Effective leadership and management of a diverse team of mental health clinicians with a focus on ensuring achievement of clinic objectives and priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability in building relationships and working collaboratively with all levels of the organisation to positively influence attitudes and foster a workplace culture promoting psychological safety and wellbeing, especially during times of change.
  • Demonstrated ability to advise on and manage complex staff issues in a dynamic and operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to leads the development and evaluation of quality improvement of psychological treatment and intervention programs.
  • Keeping abreast of, and complying with current evidence-based practice, legislation and policies and procedures.

 

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Full registration or eligibility for full registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist or eligibility to become endorsed.
  • Be a board approved supervisor or willing to complete BAS training.
  • Must have Medicare provider number (PBS)

Salary: Up to $125,000.00 per year
