Commercial Credit Analyst - Asset Finance

The Team

The Asset Finance Credit team at Pepper Money continues to expand, creating an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Credit Analyst to join the team on a full-time basis.

This position is suited to a commercially astute credit professional with demonstrated experience in commercial asset finance, strong credit judgement, and the ability to assess and approve lending applications in line with policy, risk appetite, and delegated authority.

The Role

As a Commercial Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for assessing commercial asset finance applications, reviewing financial information, and making sound credit recommendations and decisions that support responsible, sustainable lending outcomes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and broker partners, applying strong commercial judgement while operating within Pepper Money’s credit policies, risk appetite, and delegated lending authority framework.

Key skills and experience

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in commercial credit, with proven asset finance experience.
• Experience holding and exercising a delegated lending authority above $500k.
• Strong commercial knowledge and the ability to assess a broad range of business lending scenarios.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret financial statements.
• Sound understanding of business structures
• Ability to assess security positions, asset valuations, credit bureau insights, and key risk indicators.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant regulatory obligations, including NCCP, Responsible Lending, and AML/CTF requirements.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to make balanced, commercially sound credit decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and broker partners.
