A Day in the Life

As Commercial Development Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Confectionery business by:

• Leading the development and execution of category, channel, and investment strategies across the Chocolate portfolio.


• Transforming shopper, customer, and market insights into winning category strategies that drive growth and strengthen our market leadership.


• Identifying growth opportunities through deep analysis of consumer trends, retailer dynamics, and category performance.


• Partnering with major retailers to influence category direction and unlock mutual business opportunities.


• Developing compelling point-of-purchase solutions and customer-facing recommendations that bring our brands to life in-store.


• Collaborating with Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to shape portfolio strategies and deliver exceptional commercial outcomes.


• Coaching and empowering team members while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and high performance.


• Driving strategic initiatives that accelerate category growth and strengthen Nestle Chocolate position within the Australian confectionery market.

You will bring:

• Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic business plans that drive growth.


• Deep understanding of category management principles, shopper behaviour, and customer strategies.


• Experience leveraging data and insights from tools such as Circana, Synergy, Quantium and other relevant market intelligence platforms.


• Strong financial and analytical capability, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling business recommendations.


• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and senior leaders.


• A collaborative mindset, positive energy, and a passion for delivering category leadership and commercial excellence.
