  • Providing quality customer service, education, and advice to support better driver and animal‑owner behaviours.

  • Preparing evidence, statements, compliance notices, correspondence, and other documentation to support enforcement decisions.

  • Issuing penalty infringement notices where required.

  • Working collaboratively within a positive, high‑performing team environment.

  • Assisting at the Animal Shelter as required—including animal husbandry, impounding lost or roaming animals, and customer service.

Skills and experience:

  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage respectfully with the community and manage sensitive or challenging situations.

  • Well‑developed communication and conflict‑resolution abilities, with confidence interacting with people from diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability to interpret and apply Local Laws and relevant State legislation, or the capacity to learn these quickly.

  • Experience conducting basic investigations, including gathering evidence, preparing documentation, and determining appropriate compliance or enforcement responses.

  • Effective time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and stay resilient in a busy, fast‑paced work environment.

  • Great interpersonal skills and a natural ability to work well with colleagues.

  • Physical fitness to safely perform field‑based tasks, including walking, standing, and occasional manual handling.
