Contract Administrator

The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Contracts Administrator to join our Energy & Utilities business within our Water portfolio.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager – Delivery, you’ll work closely with the Senior Contracts Administrator and broader delivery, procurement, finance and project controls teams to support the effective commercial administration of projects.

This is a hands-on, site-based role, where you’ll support both head contract and subcontract administration, helping protect contractual entitlements, manage commercial risk and ensure key notices, claims, variations and payments are managed accurately and on time.

What you’ll do

• Administer head contracts, subcontracts and supplier agreements, including contractual correspondence, notices and records.
• Prepare and coordinate variations, claims, extensions of time and payment claims within contractual requirements and timeframes.
• Maintain accurate change, delay, entitlement, procurement, subcontract and correspondence registers.
• Support subcontractor payment assessments, variations, claims, securities, insurances and contract compliance.
• Work closely with delivery, finance, procurement and project controls to support forecasting, reporting and effective commercial outcomes.

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with strong attention to detail who can work collaboratively within a fast-paced project delivery environment. 

You’ll ideally bring:

• Experience in contract administration, commercial administration or a similar role within construction, infrastructure, engineering or utilities.
• Understanding of variations, claims, payment processes, contractual notices and subcontract administration.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate commercial records, registers and supporting documentation.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across commercial and operational project teams.
• A proactive approach to identifying contractual risks, meeting deadlines and escalating commercial issues when required.
