Your Role as Coordinator – Gold Coast Youth Hubs

Lead the delivery of inclusive and engaging programs for young people aged 12–18 across City of Gold Coast youth centres. This role focuses on coordinating community-based activities that support wellbeing, participation and connection.

You will design, deliver and facilitate structured after-school and school holiday programs, while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment that encourages young people to engage and thrive within their local community.

Key responsibilities include:

• Support the design and delivery of engaging after-school and school holiday programs

• Supervise and support young people attending Youth Hub centres

• Lead a team with autonomy, providing guidance and sound professional judgement

• Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, training, rostering and performance reviews

• Ensure compliance with funding requirements and manage timely reporting

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

• Oversee budget performance and ensure responsible use of resources

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant tertiary qualifications including significant direct experience working with young people

• High-level leadership capability, including the ability to manage change effectively, support and drive strategic direction

• Commitment to working within a values-driven organisation, supporting a positive team environment and actively promoting inclusion and diversity

• Ability to effectively manage service agreements, applying sound financial judgement and overseeing budgets in line with organisational expectations

Essential Requirements

• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)

• Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.

• Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work
