About the Health Centre

The Albatross Health Centre is located at Nowra on the South Coast of NSW, approximately 2.5 hours from Sydney CBD.  HMAS Albatross is the largest operational naval establishment in Australia and the Navy’s only air station.  The health centre provides primary medical, aviation medical, dental, mental health, physiotherapy, nursing and pharmaceutical services to up to 1500 ADF members.  Standard hours of operation are generally 0730-1530 Monday-Friday, with medical officers on-call for aviation retrievals.  

What you’ll do

  Supporting dental procedures through chair-side assisting 

  
  

• 
  

  Preparing and maintaining clinical equipment and treatment areas 

  
  

• 
  

  Promoting oral health and supporting patient care 

  
  

• 
  

  Maintaining infection control and hygiene standards 

  
  

• 
  

  Managing patient records and supporting administrative tasks 

  
  

What you bring 

• 
  

  Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification 

  
  

• 
  

  2 years chair-side experience in a dental clinical setting 

  
  

• 
  

  Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong understanding of infection control and clinical standards 

  
  

• 
  

  Great communication skills with a caring, team-focused approach
