About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Manager to join our Brisbane team, supporting the delivery of the Majors Creek Project.

In this Brisbane-based role, you will provide technical leadership across the civil design scope, working closely with the project team, design consultants and construction teams to ensure designs are coordinated, compliant, constructible and delivered to project requirements.

Be part of one of North Queensland’s major renewable energy projects, right on Townsville’s doorstep and on the traditional lands of the Bindal People. Located near Woodstock, approximately 40km south of Townsville, the Majors Creek Project is being delivered by DT Infrastructure for Edify Energy.

The project forms part of a major solar and battery storage energy development that will deliver renewable generation and large-scale battery storage to support Queensland’s future energy needs. With construction expected to create around 400 jobs and significant investment flowing through local businesses and suppliers, Majors Creek is creating exciting opportunities for the Townsville region.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil design delivery across the project lifecycle.


• Manage design consultants, interfaces and civil engineering deliverables.


• Review designs for technical compliance, quality and constructability.


• Coordinate civil interfaces with electrical, structural and other disciplines.


• Support procurement, construction and commissioning through design resolution.

About you

• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering with relevant professional experience.


• Demonstrated experience managing civil design on major infrastructure or renewable projects.


• Strong understanding of civil design across solar, BESS or energy infrastructure.


• Proven ability to lead consultants and manage complex technical interfaces.


• Strong communication, coordination and stakeholder management skills.
