$107,801.43 to $115,045.70  Annually  + 13% super

Join our team as a Development Assessment Engineer

Your responsibilities will include:

• 
  
  Development assessment expertise – Assess planning and operational works applications across a variety of development types ranging from roadworks and drainage to water and sewer infrastructure 
  
  


• 
  
  Technical advice – Provide clear, practical engineering guidance to internal and external stakeholders
  
  


• 
  
  Infrastructure outcomes – Coordinate, negotiate and monitor development-related infrastructure works
  
  


• 
  
  Compliance & quality – Ensure applications and works align with legislation, standards and best practice
  
  


• 
  
  Reporting & recommendations – Prepare concise reports, conditions and professional advice
  
  


• 
  
  Stakeholder engagement – Liaise effectively with developers, consultants and internal teams
  
  


• 
  
  Site presence – Conduct site inspections and attend meetings to support project outcomes
  
  


• 
  
  Continuous improvement – Contribute ideas, share knowledge and support a high-performing team culture
  
  

Skills and experience:

• 
  
  Proven experience in development assessment or subdivision works
  
  


• 
  
  Strong knowledge of civil engineering design and construction (roads, drainage, water, sewer, earthworks)
  
  


• 
  
  Understanding and experience with Queensland planning frameworks, including the Planning Act 2016
  
  


• 
  
  Familiarity with Queensland Urban Drainage Manual, Australian Standards and engineering best practice
  
  


• 
  
  Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret legislation and technical documentation
  
  


• 
  
  Experience preparing reports and making defensible recommendations
  
  


• 
  
  Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders
  
  


• 
  
  Team-focused approach with a commitment to quality outcomes and customer service

Who we are:

Eligibility:

• You'll hold of a Civil Engineering Degree or other relevant tertiary qualification with experience in Civil Engineering works associated with the Development Industry. 


• You'll hold a current Class “C” Drivers Licence.
