Job Description - Disclosure Compliance Specialist

Description

We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Disclosure Compliance Specialist, you’ll play an important Line 1 compliance role in making sure our disclosure and marketing materials are clear, accurate and meet regulatory requirements. You’ll work closely with our brand, marketing, legal and risk teams, reviewing documents, providing practical compliance advice, and building strong foundations in financial services regulation.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build or broaden their compliance career in a supportive, collaborative environment, with exposure to a wide range of documents and stakeholders.

This role is a permanent position and can be based in Brisbane or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

Day to day, you'll:

  • Review and support the approval of key prescribed member documents such as Product Disclosure Statements (PDS), annual statements and reports in line with ART’s Document Due Diligence Program.
  • Support ARTs evolving digital marketing landscape including artificial intelligence, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), digital distribution channels and automation.
  • Check that collateral meets relevant legislation, regulations and internal standards.
  • Work collaboratively with brand, marketing, legal and external partners throughout the document development process.
  • Help maintain document version control, approval records and compliance registers.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes and assist with practical implementation.
  • Provide practical, timely compliance input to brand, marketing and communications teams.
  • Contribute to the development of compliance guidelines, templates and approval processes.
  • Support compliance training and awareness for marketing and communications teams.
  • Assist with compliance risk assessments, audits and reporting activities.

Qualifications

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

  • You have a tertiary qualification in Law, Finance, Business or a related discipline, or you’re currently working towards one.
  • You bring experience or exposure to compliance, legal, risk, governance disciplines.
  • You’re interested in building your career in financial services, superannuation or consumer regulation.
  • You’ve reviewed documents for accuracy, consistency or compliance before (this could be in a variety of industries).
  • You’re comfortable interpreting legislation, policies or guidelines and explaining what they mean in clear, practical terms.
  • You have strong attention to detail and enjoy working with multiple documents and deadlines.
  • You’re keen to learn, ask questions and continue developing your technical compliance knowledge on the job.
