Do you enjoy slowing down, sharing a cuppa, and making someone feel truly seen?

A warm and thoughtful former teacher in Toronto would love the companionship of someone who enjoys good conversation, games or puzzles, and meaningful moments together.

These oneâonâone Community visits are in the clientâs homeâweekly or fortnightlyâand are a chance to create a genuine connection through relaxed conversations at home or the occasional outing. You will visit with an elderly male client, providing companionship and support in a comfortable, familiar environment.

Itâs about friendship, presence, and the simple joy of brightening someoneâs dayâyours included.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

18 years or older â¢ National Volunteer Police Check arranged â¢ Reference check â¢ Volunteer Training
