Employee Health Support Coordinator

We're seeking an experienced Employee Health Support Coordinator to join our Health Safety & Wellbeing team on a 12-month parental leave cover contract, helping us support employees through injury, illness, recovery and return-to-work journeys. 

The Opportunity 

As our Employee Health Support Coordinator, you'll play a key role in managing work-related and non-work-related injury and illness cases across the Medibank Group. Working closely with leaders, People Partners, insurers, rehabilitation providers and employees, you'll deliver practical, people-focused injury management solutions that support positive outcomes for both our people and our business. 

You'll also contribute to workers compensation and salary continuance management, provide expert rehabilitation advice, monitor claims performance and support legislative compliance across multiple jurisdictions. 

What You'll Be Doing

  Coordinating injury, illness and return-to-work case management 

  
  

• 
  

  Partnering with leaders and stakeholders to achieve sustainable recovery and rehabilitation outcomes 

  
  

• 
  

  Supporting workers compensation and salary continuance claims management 

  
  

• 
  

  Liaising with insurers, claims managers and occupational rehabilitation providers 

  
  

• 
  

  Ensuring compliance with Comcare and relevant state-based legislation 

  
  

• 
  

  Identifying trends and opportunities through reporting and analysis 

  
  

• 
  

  Supporting early intervention initiatives that improve employee wellbeing and reduce time away from work 

  
  

• 
  

  Providing coaching and guidance on injury management best practice 

  
  

About You 

We're looking for a proactive and compassionate professional who thrives on partnering with people and navigating complex situations with confidence. 

You'll bring: 

• 
  

  4+ years' experience in Occupational Rehabilitation, Return to Work or Injury Management 

  
  

• 
  

  Qualifications in and experience as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Psychologist or Exercise Physiologist 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong knowledge of Comcare and self-insurance injury management requirements 

  
  

• 
  

  Experience working with workers compensation legislation across multiple jurisdictions 

  
  

• 
  

  Demonstrated experience working for or alongside a Comcare self-insurer 

  
  

• 
  

  Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills 

  
  

• 
  

  Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities 

  
  

• 
  

  The ability to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities
