Job Description - EPMO Resource Manager

Be part of something new, strategic, and high-impact!

Anglicare Sydney is undertaking a significant transformation, and our newly created Resource Manager – EPMO role is at the heart of how we deliver projects that support real change in our communities.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a best-practice resource management function within our Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). You’ll work across all our hub teams to ensure our project portfolio is sustainably staffed, capacity is well managed, and resourcing decisions are grounded in data and aligned with business priorities.

You’ll be building the foundations, driving improvement, and making a measurable impact from day one.

This is an 18 month fixed term hire role.

About the Role

  • Lead resourcing processes and standards across all portfolios, ensuring the right people are matched to the right projects at the right time in a consistent and transparent way.

  • Partner with senior leaders, project sponsors, and delivery teams to assess resourcing needs and resolve conflicts

  • Manage and optimise our resource planning tool (RUNN), driving forecasting, visibility, and governance

  • Monitor capacity versus demand, identify bottlenecks and gaps, and guide prioritisation conversations at the leadership level

  • Develop and embed effective processes and standards, creating consistency and transparency across the organisation

  • Provide strategic insights through reports and dashboards to inform decision-making

  • Maintain oversight of workforce skills and help identify future capability needs

  • This is a hands-on, strategic, and people-focused role that will influence how we deliver projects across Anglicare.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A blank canvas — shape and lead a function that’s central to the success of Anglicare’s transformation

  • Strategic influence — work closely with leaders, sponsors, and decision-makers across the organisation

  • High visibility — be a key voice in planning, prioritisation, and workforce optimisation

  • Impact that matters — support projects that enhance care, support, and services to thousands of people across NSW

  • Supportive culture — join a collaborative, purpose-driven team in a flexible hybrid environment

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in resource or workforce management in a project-based or matrixed environment

  • Strong understanding of project lifecycles and delivery frameworks

  • Advanced capability in resource management tools such as RUNN, MS Project, Planview, or similar

  • Highly analytical mindset with a proactive, solution-oriented approach

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities, resolve resourcing conflicts, and influence outcomes

  • Process-focused with strong attention to detail and a passion for continuous improvement

  • Experience within an enterprise PMO or consulting environment will be highly regarded.

Working at Anglicare

  • Anglicare Sydney is a leading Christian not-for-profit organisation supporting people at all stages of life. From aged care to housing and community services, we are committed to delivering high-impact work that reflects our values of integrity, compassion, and excellence.

We offer:

  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements

  • Salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 per annum

  • Career development and training opportunities

  • A positive, inclusive, and supportive culture

  • The chance to work on projects that truly make a difference

If you’re excited by the opportunity to build something new, drive change, and make an impact through smarter resourcing — we’d love to hear from you.

Please submit your CV and a short cover letter outlining your interest and suitability for the role.
