Espresso Machine Technician

About us

At Allpress we are espresso specialists, roasting and serving beautiful coffee in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Japan and Singapore. We’re a team of dedicated people who believe in flavour first and care deeply about our customers.

About your new role

We’re looking for an Espresso Machine Technician to join our small and supportive Brisbane team.

Working Monday to Friday, you’ll get a great mix of time in-house and out on the road, keeping our customers’ espresso equipment running at its best. You’ll be working across metro Brisbane and regional Queensland.

You might already be an espresso machine technician, a seasoned barista who loves figuring out how things work, or an electrician looking to take your skills into a new industry. Either way, you’ll be comfortable working independently, enjoy getting out and about, and genuinely like helping customers.

There’ll also be some occasional on-call and out-of-hours support to help keep things running smoothly when our customers need us most.

A day in the life

No two days will look exactly the same, but you can expect to spend your time:

• Troubleshooting, servicing, maintaining and repairing espresso machinery

• Heading out for onsite service visits across metro Brisbane and regional Queensland

• Working closely with our Wholesale team to coordinate smooth equipment installs for new customers

• Keeping schedules and customer records up to date and helping compile invoices

• Providing friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth service to our customers

• Using your technical know-how and a calm head to diagnose problems and find solutions

You don’t need to tick every box, but some knowledge of espresso machinery, particularly La Marzocco, will go a long way. Electrical or mechanical trade skills would be a bonus, as would experience behind a coffee machine or in a roastery.

Most importantly, you’ll be a natural problem solver with great customer service skills, a full driver’s licence and the flexibility to cover the occasional out-of-hours or weekend callout.

Working at Allpress

Alongside a great team culture, we offer a range of perks including as much coffee as you’d like while you’re at work, 250g of beans to take home each week, a free and confidential Employee Assistance Program, a wellbeing allowance, volunteer leave, and opportunities to learn and grow.

Diversity and Inclusion

Allpress is committed to being an inclusive organisation where all people feel valued, respected and engaged. We pledge a commitment to:

• Building inclusive teams that represent all groups in society

• Empowering our people to continuously improve the way we work and promote equity

• Removing barriers and the influence of bias

• Creating a safe environment where we’re encouraged to speak out against discrimination in any form

• Cultivating a sense of belonging by encouraging our people to fearlessly bring their whole selves to work

If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. Please apply with your CV and a personalised cover letter outlining why you’d be a great fit for the Espresso Machine Technician role and why you'd like to join the Allpress team.
