Estimating Manager

Gamuda Engineering is a reputable Engineering and Construction contractor that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport, Civil and Energy Infrastructure projects.
As part of Gamuda’s commitment to expansion, Gamuda Engineering has established offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to pursue and deliver a variety of construction projects. We are currently delivering the Sydney Metro West – Stations Package, significant regional road projects and water infrastructure projects.

We are currently shortlisted for several major transport and energy infrastructure projects are pursuing other significant opportunities in these sectors across Australia.

The Role

Working closely with our Pre-contracts team you will lead the development estimates and cost plans across a range of civil, infrastructure & energy projects primarily focussed within the QLD market. This will include:

• Leading estimating and pricing strategy.


• Analysing tender documentation and client requirements.


• Working closely with our engineering design teams, procurement and commercial to develop innovative and cost-effective tender responses.


• Developing accurate and timely cost estimates with consideration to programme, materials, resources and other critical considerations.


• Maintain relationships and accurate pricing data from suppliers and subcontractors.

Your skills & experience

Ideally you will be an experienced civil & infrastructure Estimating Manager with qualifications in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar. You will also:

• Have lead successful teams delivering estimates for major infrastructure projects of $500M+.


• Be a collaborative individual keen to promote new ideas and look for innovative engineering solutions.


• Have advanced capability in the use of estimating software and data management.


• Be a self-starter who is keen to take accountability and be a strong contributor to our team.
