We're seeking an exceptional people leader with deep agribusiness and commercial banking expertise to step into the Executive Director role within our SAS leadership team.

Our Specialised Agribusiness Solutions (SAS) team provides dedicated, end-to-end banking support to a diverse portfolio of large family-owned, corporate, and investment-grade agribusiness customers across Australia.

With the continued success and momentum of the SAS business, we are strengthening our leadership structure to support future growth. This Executive Director role has been designed to provide strategic direction, strong people leadership, and disciplined execution, ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers and our people.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, SAS, you will play a pivotal role in setting direction, building capability, and driving performance across an established and highly respected team. While the role is Brisbane-based, meaningful regional travel is a key component, reflecting the national footprint of our customers.

Do Work That Matters

As Executive Director, you will be recognised as a trusted leader and subject-matter expert across agribusiness banking, credit, risk and continuous improvement. You will play a critical role in developing and executing customer acquisition and growth strategies, particularly across larger and more complex pre- and post-farm-gate customers.

Through strong coaching, mentoring and leadership, you'll create an environment where people can perform at their best - delivering sustainable growth, disciplined risk outcomes, and exceptional customer experiences.

More Specifically, You Will:

• Set strategic direction by identifying opportunities within an evolving agribusiness and commercial landscape and translating these into executable growth strategies
• Lead, coach and mentor a specialist team, building capability in customer focus, credit and risk while fostering a high-performance culture
• Build and maintain senior-level customer relationships and support your team to retain and grow complex portfolios through exceptional service
• Develop strong internal partnerships to deliver tailored, end-to-end financial solutions for complex customer needs
• Drive deal origination and execution, including structuring, negotiating sophisticated lending, and banking solutions
• Represent CommBank confidently in the market, strengthening the SAS profile and your own leadership presence across the industry

We'd Love to Hear from You If You Have:

• Proven, senior leadership experience, with a strong track record of coaching teams to deliver superior customer, credit and risk outcomes
• A genuine passion for developing people and building deep capability within specialist teams
• Exceptional commercial acumen with demonstrated experience managing complex agribusiness or corporate portfolios
• A strong execution mindset, personal drive, and commitment to excellence
• A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Commerce will be highly regarded
