At PwC Australia, our Tax Controversy team is dedicated to helping clients navigate and resolve complex disputes with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO). We work on some of the most high-profile and technically challenging matters, advising leading multinationals and sophisticated privately held groups. Our Team supports clients through all stages of revenue authority compliance, from risk reviews to audits, objections, and appeals to the ART or Court.

What you’ll do:
Manage taxpayer disputes conducted by revenue authorities and other government bodies
Management of responses to information requests, position papers and more generally engagement with revenue authorities on evidence and tax technical issues
Engage with other areas of the tax practice and industry experts
Act as a mentor for junior members of the team
What we’re looking for:
Strong experience in tax law, with a proven ability to manage and resolve tax audits and disputes.
An innovative mindset and the confidence to challenge conventional thinking
You thrive in collaborative, forward-thinking environments and are committed to helping others grow and succeed
A team-oriented approach, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, Counsel, and revenue authorities
Strong communication and presentation skills
A strong ability to interpret, critically analyse, and apply the law with rigor and attention to detail
A natural problem solver who is drawn to firms that value innovative thinking for clients and stakeholders.
