Job Description - Facilities and Maintenance Manager

Clinipath Pathology is a Perth based subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare with a reputation as a quality pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability and excellent customer service. 

We are currently seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee our facilities and maintenance team and to assist with general maintenance duties in our expanding business. This role is based at the Osborne Park laboratory with travel required in the Perth metro and regional areas. 

The key purpose of the position is to coordinate the maintenance of our facilities and ensure that tasks are prioritised and completed in the required time period.

Key tasks include:

  • Scheduling and allocation of maintenance tasks
  • Liaising with contractors and ensure timeliness and quality of their work
  • Work closely and collaboratively with all key internal and external stakeholders to ensure exceptional customer service
  • Ensuring compliance with all WHS requirements
  • Administrative duties including completion of work orders and service reports
  • Actively assisting the facilities team in undertaking maintenance tasks when required
  • Oversee building security and BMS software to ensure optimal temperatures and extraction in laboratory

Key Attributes:

  • Minimum 2 years’ management experience
  • Extensive hands on maintenance experience and experience liaising with contractors 
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and BMS systems 
  • Autonomous self-starter with excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build rapport with internal departments and external contractors
  • The ability to work well within a small team and alone
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ensuring the team complies with safe work procedures 
  • The ability to use basic power and maintenance tools
  • A current unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s license
  • Substantial driving experience and an unrestricted and exemplary driving record
  • Current National Police Clearance, or the willingness to gain one

This is a full time role with shifts typically rostered between 8am and 4pm Monday to Friday. Some flexibility in hours and Saturday work may be required when operationally necessary.
