Permanent role with a global gold mining company

Gold Fields’ four Australian mines – Agnew, St Ives, Granny Smith and Gruyere – are located in the eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia, where our team are employed on a residential and fly-in, fly-out basis. There is also a corporate office located in the Perth CBD.

The Opportunity 
Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor at Agnew, you will be responsible for providing quality and timely preventative mechanical maintenance and repairs of the Fixed Plant infrastructure, facilities and other areas of operation.

This role is offered on x3 8 days on 6 days x 1 7 days on 7 days off roster and is Fly in Fly out from Perth or Drive in Drive out from the Goldfields region.

Skills and Qualifications

• Fixed Plant maintenance experience within a Processing Plant operation.


• Mechanical Fitting Trade Qualification.


• Understanding of machinery and care of Fixed Plant.


• WA C Manual Driver’s License as well as CN crane, dogging, rigger basic EWP and forklift tickets.


• A Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets.

About the role:

• Ensuring the achievement of budgeted maintenance targets by practising preventative maintenance


• Maintain a working knowledge of all task instructions and procedures


• Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing of maintenance orders and recording of labour hire.


• Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping throughout the maintenance workshops and wherever maintenance work is carried out.
