Fleet Maintenance Controller

We’re on the lookout for a Maintenance Controller to join our Fleet Operations team. Whether you’re an experienced Maintenance Controller or a qualified mechanic looking for your next move, this is your chance to use your technical know-how in a new way.

Location: North Sydney OR Melbourne

In this phone-based role, you’ll be the go-to expert managing maintenance and repair outcomes for a national fleet. You’ll work closely with workshops, suppliers and internal teams to keep vehicles safe, compliant and on the road—balancing quality, cost and turnaround times.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assessing and approving repairs to ensure vehicles are back on the road quickly and cost-effectively
• Diagnosing issues in collaboration with repairers and suppliers
• Acting as a technical SME for commercial vehicles
• Building strong relationships with suppliers, workshops and internal stakeholders
• Managing work authorities and ensuring accurate maintenance coding
• Supporting cost control and service outcomes across the fleet

Abut you:

• Trade qualification in Motor Mechanics (or similar)
• Hands-on workshop experience or experience in a Maintenance Controller role
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical knowledge
• Confidence communicating with a range of stakeholders
• Intermediate computer skills
• Experience with medium to heavy commercial vehicles (highly regarded)
