Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced environment? Do you have a background in retail food and beverage and a strong understanding of food safety regulations? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at Sunshine Coast University Hospital.

Role Overview:

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will play a key role in providing outstanding service to our customers while maintaining high standards of food safety and compliance. This dynamic role requires initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence. You will be working across 3 venues (Alice&George, Retreat and Container Cafe) working behind the counter. This role requires Coffee skills.

Shifts range from Monday to Friday 6:30am to 4:30pm. We are looking for 3-4 days per week for approx. 20hrs per week depending on staff availabilities, potentially more.

What You’ll Do (key responsibilities)

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:

  • Handle financial management and cash transactions with accuracy and integrity.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Uphold high customer service standards, delivering a memorable experience for every guest.
  • Maintain flexible availability, including weekends and peak periods.

What You’ll Bring 

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in food and beverage service, preferably in high-volume settings
  • At least 1 year working as a barista would be preferable.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards in a cafe or hospitality environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and a passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and effective prioritization skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset, willing to collaborate with colleagues to deliver excellence.
