What You’ll Do
We’re looking for engineers based in the following cities to help us rig and operate our tennis Electronic Line Calling system:
Melbourne
Adelaide
Hobart
Auckland
Sydney
Perth
This will be for 1-3 weeks across November - February. Exact dates will be announced closer to the time.
Responsibilities include:
Install Camera & Cable Infrastructure – Run fibre, CAT6, and power cables around tennis courts, ensuring all equipment is safely installed, securely routed, and positioned for optimal performance.
Rig and Configure Camera Systems – Mount and secure cameras in designated locations, assist with ancillary equipment setup, and make adjustments to ensure reliable coverage throughout the event.
Support Event Operations – Troubleshoot issues, collaborate with technical teams and event coordinators, and assist with the safe dismantling, maintenance, and packing of equipment after the event.
Maintain Safety Standards – Follow all health and safety procedures, ensuring equipment, cables, and work areas remain hazard-free at all times.
Work Collaboratively – Take direction from supervisors and work closely with operators, technicians, and event staff to ensure efficient setup and delivery.
What You’ll Bring
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work in physically demanding environments and safely handle equipment.
Comfortable working at heights, including on ladders and catwalks.
Strong practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Flexibility to work around event schedules, including early starts, late finishes, and weekends where required.
Nice to Haves
Previous experience rigging at sports events, live broadcasts, concerts, or similar live event environments.
Knowledge of camera rigging systems, mounting solutions, and associated hardware.
Understanding of safe working practices related to rigging, cable management, and working at height.
Experience handling fibre optic and network cabling installations.
