Job Description

Join our team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager at our thriving establishment in Wetherill Park, Australia! We're looking for a dynamic and customer-focused professional to help lead our restaurant operations and ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth service
  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to maintain high standards of food quality and customer service
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance evaluations
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders with suppliers as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe working environment
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to increase sales and profitability
  • Analyze sales data and prepare reports for upper management
  • Step in for the Restaurant Manager when necessary, making critical decisions to maintain operations

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a supervisory role in a fast-paced dining environment
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating memorable dining experiences
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions in a high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and commitment to maintaining hygiene standards
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
  • Food Safety Certification
  • Understanding of food and beverage industry trends
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
