We’re looking for a full-time Optical Assistant to join our Flagship Bondi Junction store! If you bring great energy, a passion for self-improvement, and genuinely love bringing the joy to eyecare through outstanding customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you.



What you’ll be doing



As an Optical Assistant, you’ll be the face of our store and a crucial part of the customer journey, reporting directly to the Store Manager:




  • Deliver Outstanding Experiences: Prioritise the customer journey above all else, ensuring seamless care from the moment they walk in, through their eye test, to frame selection.

  • Learn the Trade: Dive into our beginner optical skills training, continuously building your product knowledge across our stunning frames, lenses, and contact lenses.

  • Style & Problem Solve: Use your product knowledge and critical thinking to help solve customer vision problems with honest, well-judged frame and lens recommendations.

  • Support the Team: Work as a true team player alongside the retail crew and our Optometrist to keep the store running smoothly.

  • Maintain a Beautiful Store: Take accountability for store presentation, cleanliness, and keeping things organised.

  • Master Precision Tasks: Get hands-on with frame adjustments, using small tools and heat equipment to shape frames perfectly for our customers.

Who we’re looking for




  • Someone who feels at home with our values: tight-knit, down-to-earth, and constantly improving.

  • Customer service experience is a must! You have a background in retail, hospitality, or a similar industry where customer needs are met through great interactions.

  • Optical experience is highly preferred. However, if you have beginner optical skills or are just a fast learner with a passion for retail, we are keen to teach you the rest!

  • An organised multitasker with excellent time management and high attention to detail.

  • A resilient, professional team player who stays calm, constructive, and positive under pressure.

  • Physical & Schedule Requirements: Comfortable standing for most of the day, handling small tools for precision work, and lifting stock boxes (up to 5kg).

  • Availability: Available to work full-time (38 hours per week) on a consistent Sunday–Thursday roster.
