What's the role?
Glamour Australia is seeking a creative, digitally-savvy Video and Social Producer to drive audience growth and engagement across our social and video platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a social-first storyteller with strong production skills, sharp trend awareness and a passion for beauty, culture and style.
You will manage video and social media channels, optimise content performance and develop audience- and platform-first growth strategies across GLAMOUR Australia’s digital channels. Working closely with the Digital Director and Head of Content, you will create fresh, engaging ideas that grow reach, increase audience engagement and balance commercial objectives with audience-first storytelling. You will bring strong experience across ideation, storyboarding, briefing, shooting, directing, editing and optimising video content, alongside an understanding of SEO best practice and emerging generative AI Search optimisation.
The ideal candidate understands GLAMOUR Australia’s place within the Australian and global fashion, beauty, culture, style and shopping landscape and can deliver content that reflects the brand’s core values of accessibility, empathy, humour, authority and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Edit, upload and publish social media content, multiple times per day – including copy for captions with focus on audience-first strategies and formats
Film, direct, produce, edit and upload longer-form video content to YouTube and website
Ideate new editorial formats and produce commercial content that adheres to client briefs whilst upholding the Prestige brands’ brand + style guidelines
Appear on camera in content as needed, executing videos end-to-end from ideation to uploading
Adhere to social media + video production best practice to help achieve overarching Video Views, Reach, Follower and Engagement targets
Liaise with commercial integration managers, senior digital leadership, external talent and platform specialists to ensure communication is always clear and open so that projects are run efficiently
Constantly look for new and innovative ways to tell stories to our News Prestige readers, via video or audio formats
Who are you?
You are a digital native who instinctively knows what makes people stop scrolling with the ability to analyse digital trends and use that information to create video content that immediately hooks an audience and keeps them transfixed.
You can work seamlessly between editorial, commercial and digital departments to deliver the best outcome for all stakeholders.
You’ll be experienced in multiple editing programs and social media platforms, applying your content production and publishing skills in creative and compelling ways.
Required Skills:
A detail-oriented video shooter/editor with experience in ideating video formats for digital channels quickly, ideally with editing skills in Premiere Pro/Adobe Creative but an openess to learn new skills and platforms is a must.
Experience in other in-app editing programs an advantage
1–3 years experience working in social media, either for a brand/masthead or as a creator yourself, with professional-level video editing/production skills
Strong communication skills, with production-specific experience in storyboarding and briefing video concepts to internal and external stakeholders
Experience in creating social-first content, with practical knowledge of uploading and publishing to various social media platforms and their respective algorithms
Interviewing or vox popping skills preferred, but must be comfortable directing talent
Strong written skills in scripting, caption writing and basic SEO writing skills
Personal usage and innate understanding of social media, with the ability to identify trends, concepts, music and formats to inform creative content choices for Prestige social channels
A respectful, professional and kind disposition, and the ability to remain calm under pressure
