About the Role: 

7-Eleven Australia is on a journey to transform convenience and deliver more value to our customers, suppliers, and partners and Anytime Media is a core proposition of this journey.

As such we have created a key leadership role – the Head of Retail Media to curate the strategy, deliver sales and profit growth, manage key relationships externally and internally and lead the talent retail media team. This role will be the leader in the market and internally.

The Head of Retail Media will own the operating model across people, process, assets and technology.We have some fundamentals in place as we now enter our third year as retail media practice – the perfect inflection point to join and fuel this journey.

We’re looking for an energetic, proven leader, with excellent vision, relationship-building who wants roll up their sleeves and lead a small but growing team from the front. In this role, you will work closely with senior leaders internally and externally and provide a critical contextual bridge between marketing, buying and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and lead the retail media strategy for Anytime Media @ 7-Eleven, driving revenue growth, commercial performance and supplier value.
• Build and scale the operating model across sales, campaign delivery, data, technology, reporting and governance.
• Lead the sales pipeline and grow senior relationships with major suppliers, advertisers, agencies and strategic partners.
• Develop compelling product, pricing and inventory propositions that maximise the value of 7-Eleven’s media assets and customer reach.
• Oversee the end-to-end campaign life cycle, from planning and booking through to execution, reporting, billing and optimisation.
• Use customer, media and commercial data to improve utilisation, optimise yield and demonstrate return on investment for partners.
• Partner with Marketing, Merchandise, Operations, Data and Technology teams to create a connected, scalable retail media ecosystem.
• Influence senior leaders and external partners as a trusted advisor, bringing clarity, structure and commercial alignment to key decisions.
• Lead, coach and develop a growing retail media team, creating clear priorities, accountability and a high-performance culture.

What You Bring:

• Senior experience in retail media, commerce media, shopper marketing, digital media, eCommerce, category or a related commercial environment.
• A proven track record leading commercial growth, media operations or technology-enabled sales and delivery functions.
• Strong relationship-building skills, with experience influencing suppliers, advertisers, agencies, executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Commercial strength across pricing, product, inventory, partnerships and supplier investment models.
• Experience building or improving operating models, including workflow, governance, capability, systems and measurement.
• Confidence using data and insights to identify opportunities, improve performance and support better commercial decisions.
• The ability to turn complex priorities into clear plans, practical actions and simple, compelling communication.
• A collaborative, trusted advisor style with the credibility to influence across Marketing, Merchandise, Operations, Data, Technology and external partners.
• A hands-on leadership approach, with the energy to move between strategy and delivery in a fast-growing business.
