About the Role

The Hotel Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the hotel's daily financial transactions and accounting records. The role coordinates the Accounts Payable function, performs the daily Income Audit, supports balance sheet reconciliations, and assists with the month-end close process.

The position plays a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with company policies, and providing accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Salary $76,000.00 + super

What we need from you

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, finance or related discipline.
• Demonstrated accounting experience in a hotel or multi-site entity finance related role.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Peoplesoft Financial System and Opera Property Management System would be advantageous.
• High attention to detail
• Strong team player
• Can effectively communicate (written and oral) across all levels of the organisation
• Proven ability to adapt to varying situations
• Strong organisational skills, work within deadlines & prioritise effectively
• Ability to work autonomously, have strong problem solving skills and shows initiative
• Highly focused and dedicated work ethic
