Your Opportunity

In Meekatharra, safe and stable housing can be life changing and as a Housing Case Manager with our Public Tenancy Support Service (PTSS), you will be there alongside people as they take those first steps toward it. You will work closely with women, children and families navigating complex circumstances, building trusted relationships and supporting them to strengthen their skills, confidence and independence so they can sustain their tenancies and create a more secure future.

This role is grounded in connection, presence and community, with much of your impact coming from working alongside clients in their day-to-day realities this is an on-site position where you will engage directly with individuals, families and local networks. Through a trauma informed, strengths-based approach, you will help people make sense of their challenges, set meaningful goals and access the right supports to move forward knowing that every small step contributes to long term housing stability and wellbeing.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake assessments, pre-tenancy interviews (PTIs) and manage housing and tenancy waitlists to ensure appropriate service access.
  • Deliver intensive, trauma-informed case management and wraparound support to individuals and families, particularly women and children, to sustain housing outcomes.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients with the Department of Housing and other services to achieve successful tenancy and housing stability.
  • Develop and implement client-centred case plans, including regular reviews, risk planning and referrals to relevant support services.
  • Support clients through tenancy processes, including moving in, setting up utilities, maintaining properties and accessing essential household items (e.g. NILS loans).
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, external stakeholders and community networks, including active participation in local meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case notes, reports, referrals and program data in line with organisational and contractual requirements.

Requirements for Success

  • Relevant qualification (minimum Cert IV preferred, or degree/Associate Diploma) with demonstrated experience in community or human services.
  • Strong case management experience, including assessment, planning and delivery of wraparound, trauma-informed support.
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD clients, with strong cultural competence.
  • Sound understanding of housing instability, homelessness and complex client needs such as family violence, mental health and substance use.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities and maintain engagement with clients experiencing complex challenges.
  • Excellent communication, advocacy, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong administrative, reporting and time management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and client management systems.
  • First Aid certificate desired but not required.
  • Full driver licence with no restrictions.

Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
