HSE Advisor - Major BESS Project - Victoria

As an HSE Advisor, you'll join a major utility-scale BESS project in Victoria, partnering with frontline crews, supervisors and project leaders to drive a strong safety culture and support the safe delivery of civil, electrical, high-voltage and commissioning activities.

About the role

This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on supporting frontline teams, coaching safe behaviours, building a strong safety culture and ensuring consistent application of the HSE Management System.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands-on, day‑to‑day HSE support across site activities.

• Support pre‑starts, toolbox talks and on‑site safety conversations.

• Conduct regular site walks, inspections and safety interactions.

• Assist with incident reporting, investigations and follow‑up actions.

• Manage HSE documentation, reporting and compliance with UGL’s HSE Management System.

About you

• Experience as an HSE Advisor in renewable energy construction projects.

• Comfortable FIFO/DIDO working on a roster basis.

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or equivalent.

• Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly team focused.

• Strong site presence and practical approach to compliance.
