Job Description - Human Resources Officer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Officer to join our team in Bundoora, Australia. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a crucial role in supporting our organization's most valuable asset – our employees. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various HR functions and help shape our company culture.

  • Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process, including job posting, resume screening, and interview coordination
  • Manage and maintain employee records using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires and conduct new employee orientations
  • Administer employee benefits programs and answer employee inquiries
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with management on performance management processes and employee relations issues
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives for employees
  • Ensure compliance with Australian employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare HR reports and analytics to support decision-making
  • Assist in organizing company events and employee engagement activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in HR roles
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment and selection processes
  • Experience in employee relations and performance management
  • Familiarity with training and development programs
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
