Hydraulic Technician / Maintenance Fitter

Roxby Hydraulics are continuing to employ enthusiastic and motivated Hydraulic Technicians / Maintenance Fitters, who are looking to take the next step in their career in mining.

• Full time employment (inc. A/L, S/L, LSL) - Casual also available.
• 12 hour days.
• Superannuation paid on all hours worked

Reporting to the highly-skilled Shift Supervisors, this position is suited to experienced trades-people, or a hands-on individual with industry knowledge looking to build on their career and be rewarded for their efforts whilst working within a great team of professionals.

Some tasks that you would be expected to carry out is not limited to:

• Conduct and carry out upgrades, new installations, and short to long term projects.
• Hydraulic testing, commissioning, monitoring, and fault finding
• Fabricating and Installation of hydraulic hose assemblies.
• Hydraulic tube work, including planning, bending, mounting, installation, and commissioning.
• Preventative maintenance inspections, reporting on findings & repairs
• Day to day break-downs, maintenance, and repairs on a range of mobile & fixed plant equipment.
• Troubleshooting hydraulic systems.
• Identify opportunities for future work - thoroughly scoping jobs and reporting on material / labour requirements for jobs to be quoted and executed safely.
• Executing projects and plant shut-downs – taking on tasks and projects and seeing it through till the end.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Trade qualifications (Either in Fitting & Turning, Plant Fitter, HD Fitter, etc.) with hydraulics industry experience.
• Drivers licence, or Truck Licence (Truck licence highly desirable).
• Working at heights, Confined spaces, White card / High-risk tickets (Desirable, but not mandatory).
• Experience in using job management software and computing skills.
• Be able to pass drug, alcohol, and pre-employment medical tests.
