Job Description:

  • Department and location: Intensive Care Unit, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst

  • Salary: $71,072.43 - $73,287.41 + super + salary packaging

About the role

  • Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), working closely with medical, nursing and allied health teams.

  • Manage a variety of administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, minute taking, correspondence, report preparation, data entry and record management.

  • Support key operational functions such as recruitment administration, roster coordination, invoice processing and auditing activities.

  • Act as a key point of contact for the department, delivering professional reception and customer service to staff, patients and stakeholders.

  • Assist the ICU leadership team with coordinating support services, maintaining office equipment and supplies, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the unit.

About you

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a health care setting

  • Capacity to work both autonomously and under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.

  • Polished verbal and written communication skills and proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office, dashboards, databases, spreadsheets and other administrative software.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, able to manage competing priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines efficiently.

  • A professional, reliable and proactive team player with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.

In this role you will be based at St Vincent’s hospital, Darlinghurst.
