Weâre looking for a kindâhearted volunteer who speaks Italian to share meaningful time with a lovely older woman living in Ryde.
Our client is a 90âyearâold woman who lives at home with her husband. She experiences shortâterm memory loss and has limited mobility, so visits are all about relaxed, unhurried time together in the comfort of her home. Thereâs no pressure for outings â just companionship, conversation, and connection.
She would truly love the company of someone who can speak Italian with her, helping her reconnect with familiar language, culture, and memories. This might look like sharing stories, enjoying a friendly chat, or even listening to Italian music together. Her husband may also join in at times, making visits feel warm and inclusive.
- Weâre hoping to connect with someone who is patient, friendly, and comfortable spending time with older adults.
- Weekly or Fortnightly visits welcome.
- Fluent Italian/conversational skills
Sometimes, the simplest moments â a familiar language spoken with kindness â can mean the world.
