Do you want to see families able to put food on the table? Do you want to see seniors, people with a disability and those on low income be able to access the food they need but cannot afford?

Would you like to help people be able to receive the care and support they need?

What are we doing that you could be involved in?

Our Food Market provides free fruit, veg and bread as well as cheap groceries to our community in need. It is set up as a small shop where customers are greeted and welcomed with respect and can shop for groceries which they can afford.



What would you be doing?

There are several exciting opportunities depending on whether you would like to assist with the sorting and display of stock we receive, pricing of stock using our colour system, greeting customers, serving customers, re-stocking fridges and shelves, chatting to customers or unloading the deliveries we receive from Oz Harvest, Foodbank and Coles 2nd Bite.

Development opportunities with this role:

This role will give volunteers an opportunity to develop skills and build experience in retail practices, valuations of donations, sorting and stocking of shelves, as well as experience in working as a part of a team. Volunteers will receive on the job training and support, working alongside experience retail professionals in a caring and supportive environment. As an extra bonus, volunteers have access to professional development training.
