The Opportunity
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, notices the little things and enjoys working outdoors. Opportunities are available on a full-time, part-time or casual basis, offering flexibility to suit your circumstances. You'll be responsible for grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, weed control and poisoning. You'll work as part of a supportive team while also being trusted to work independently and take ownership of your work.
Key responsibilities include:
Ride-on mower, brush cutter and other gardening equipment operation
Mowing, edging, mulching and general grounds maintenance
Pruning, hedging, trimming and slashing
Weed control, Poisoning swabbing and spraying
Assistance in our wood yard when required
Site clean-ups and waste removal
Maintaining tools, machinery and vehicles in good working order
Using mobile technology for job tracking, reporting and team communication
Following all safety, environmental and quality procedures
Representing pgg professionally while working on client sites
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
Physically fit and comfortable performing hands-on outdoor work
Safety conscious and willing to follow procedures
Motivated, positive and able to work well as part of a team
Detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality results
Comfortable working across a variety of sites
Able to communicate professionally with clients and team members
Willing to travel within South Australia and, where required, interstate
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Driver's licence
White Card
Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance and relevant site clearances
Good understanding of workplace health and safety
Self-Motivated, Reliable and able to make sound decisions on site
Highly regarded:
Horticulture or landscaping qualification
ChemCert or chemical application experience
Chainsaw operation experience or training
First Aid / CPR
EWP licence
Truck licence (MR/HR/MC)
Competent operating powered gardening equipment including mowers, brush cutters and trimmers
