Lawyer

Oikonomakis Law is a well-established international law firm with a demanding and high-profile clientele. As part of our continued international expansion, we are seeking to establish a collaboration in Australia with a qualified and experienced legal professional.

We are looking for an independent lawyer or legal practitioner with a strong academic and professional background, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage legal matters with a high degree of autonomy and professionalism. The ideal collaborator will have at least five (5) years of post-qualification experience and will work closely with our international team in supporting both domestic and cross-border legal matters.

Scope of Collaboration

The selected collaborator will work with Oikonomakis Law on a case-by-case and ongoing basis, including:

• Advising and supporting clients on corporate, commercial, litigation, or general legal matters within Australia;
• Drafting and reviewing contracts, legal opinions, legal memoranda, and other legal documentation;
• Conducting legal research and providing practical, commercially focused advice;
• Communicating directly with clients, public authorities, and counterparties in Australia and internationally;
• Collaborating with our lawyers across multiple jurisdictions on cross-border transactions and legal matters;
• Representing or assisting clients before Australian authorities and courts, where appropriate and in accordance with local professional regulations;
• Supporting the firm's international network by facilitating legal services for clients with interests in Australia.

• Fully qualified Australian lawyer admitted to practice law in Australia and in good standing with the relevant legal authority;
• A minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification legal experience;
• Excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
• Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills;
• Experience working with international clients or cross-border legal matters is highly desirable;
• Team player with a proactive and client-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently while maintaining close collaboration with an international legal team;
• Commitment to delivering high-quality legal services and maintaining the highest professional standards.
