·         Extensive expertise in Dell EMC PowerMax/VMAX,
Data Domain, SRDF, and SnapVX within enterprise storage environments.

Experience with
storage management tools and automation frameworks such as Unisphere, REST
APIs, and orchestration platforms.

·         Nice to Have Skills: Strong
understanding of integration between storage, backup, and application
environments ensuring high availability and data consistency.

·         In-depth knowledge of storage security
practices including encryption, access controls, audit logging, and
compliance standards.

·         Familiarity with hybrid storage
architecture and integration with cloud platforms such as GCP.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving
skills with the ability to design scalable and high-performance storage

Detailed Job Description:            We are seeking a Senior Storage
Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing
enterprise storage infrastructure. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for storage technologies, including Dell EMC PowerMax, SRDF replication, and
SnapVX. Leads critical production environments, disaster recovery strategies,
IBM Power 10 AIX servers, Dell PPDM, SAN Cisco switches and performance
optimization initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         12–18 years of hands-on
experience in enterprise storage and backup administration, with a strong
track record of managing large-scale data center environments and supporting
mission-critical infrastructure across production and non-production systems.

·         Demonstrated deep expertise
in Dell EMC PowerMax (PMAX) storage arrays and Dell Data Domain platforms,
including configuration, management, troubleshooting, and performance
optimization in enterprise environments.

·         Strong proficiency in SAN
technologies, including Cisco switch management, zoning configurations, and
fabric administration, ensuring seamless connectivity, high availability, and
optimal SAN performance.

·         Extensive hands-on experience
with LUN provisioning, masking, and storage allocation, ensuring efficient
storage utilization, proper host mapping, and adherence to best practices in
storage management.

·         Proven experience in backup
scheduling, execution, and restoration processes, covering full and
incremental backup strategies while ensuring data integrity, reliability, and
successful recovery during critical scenarios.

·         Solid understanding and
practical application of ITIL frameworks, including incident, problem, and
change management processes, ensuring structured operations and compliance
with organizational service management standards.

·         Hands-on experience in
firmware upgrades and patch management for storage arrays and SAN devices,
ensuring systems remain up-to-date, secure, and compliant with vendor and
organizational requirements.

·         Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills with the ability to perform capacity planning, analyze
performance trends, and implement optimization techniques to improve overall
system efficiency and scalability.

·         In-depth knowledge of
security best practices for storage environments, including access control
mechanisms, audit logging, and data retention policies to ensure compliance
with regulatory and organizational security standards.

·         Excellent documentation
skills with the ability to create detailed operational reports, standard
operating procedures (SOPs), and technical documentation to support ongoing
operations and knowledge sharing.

·         Proven experience in vendor
management, particularly with Dell EMC and Cisco, including coordinating
support activities, handling escalations, and ensuring timely resolution of
issues in collaboration with external teams.

·         Analyze storage and backup
system performance metrics such as IOPS, latency, and throughput, and
implement effective tuning strategies to improve efficiency, optimize
resource utilization, and ensure consistent system performance across the
environment.

·         Identify performance
bottlenecks across storage arrays, SAN infrastructure, and backup systems,
and proactively resolve issues through root cause analysis, ensuring minimal
impact to production workloads and preventing recurring incidents.

·         Perform data restoration
activities during incidents, outages, or on-demand requests, ensuring timely
recovery of critical data in alignment with defined RTO and RPO objectives
while validating data integrity and completeness.

·         Conduct regular system
maintenance and execute firmware upgrades for storage arrays, SAN switches,
and backup systems, ensuring systems remain stable, secure, and compliant
with vendor recommendations without impacting business operations.

·         Perform routine system and
storage maintenance activities such as monitoring health status, reviewing
logs, and validating configurations to ensure optimal functionality,
reliability, and system readiness at all times.

·         Ensure all storage, SAN, and
backup systems operate within defined performance thresholds and service
level agreements (SLAs), continuously monitoring metrics and taking
corrective actions to maintain uptime and service quality.

·         Implement robust access
control mechanisms and encryption standards to protect sensitive data,
ensuring secure storage environments and compliance with organizational
security policies and industry best practices.

·         Maintain comprehensive audit
logs for all backup, recovery, and system activities, ensuring traceability,
accountability, and readiness for internal and external audits while
supporting compliance requirements.

·         Follow and enforce data
retention and disposal policies by managing backup lifecycle processes,
ensuring proper data archival, retention, and secure deletion in accordance
with regulatory and organizational standards.
