Lead Road Designer (Traffic Signals)

In this role, you'll:

Be part of the Traffic Signal Design team within the Infrastructure and Place Engineering (IPE) division, Technical Design & Engineering (TDE) branch, Provides specialised engineering services that support the planning, operation, management and delivery of a safe and efficient multi-modal transport network.

As a key member of the team, you will support the Manager Traffic Signal Design in the management, coordination and delivery of traffic signal design engineering services. You will lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture while providing technical guidance and leadership.

Be responsible for overseeing the delivery of both internally and externally developed traffic signal design, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, standards, technical directions, guidelines and project requirements. Play a critical role in delivering sustainable, innovative and safe intersection design solutions that meet the needs of all road users.

About you

You are passionate about Road Design and Traffic Signal Design, with extensive experience in the design of roads and related structures within infrastructure projects and the following:
 
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong knowledge of Transport for NSW standards and guides including the Traffic Signal Design guide, Austroads Guide    to Road Design and other related standards.
• Demonstrated experience in Traffic Signal Design.
• Experience in CADD software.
• Experience in the review of Road Design and Traffic Signal Design.
