Learning Design Consultant

The purpose of the Learning Design Consultant is to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality Lectora-based eLearning modules that uplift underwriting capability across Commercial Insurance and support the successful delivery of the Underwriter of the Future (UoF) program.

This is a dedicated Lectora eLearning module development role. The successful candidate will be focused almost exclusively on designing, building, testing and publishing online learning modules in Lectora. Demonstrated, hands-on Lectora capability is essential, and applicants without strong Lectora development experience are unlikely to be suitable for the role.

The role contributes to the development of a comprehensive suite of learning modules aligned to the Commercial Insurance Underwriting Management Capability Guide (UMCG), covering technical, product, business, and professional skills development pathways.

Working closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts and colleagues, the role applies contemporary learning methodologies and digital learning technologies to transform complex technical content into engaging, accessible, and scalable Lectora-based digital learning experiences that support performance and business outcomes. This role requires advanced instructional design capability, the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced program environment and demonstrated hands-on experience designing and developing eLearning modules in Lectora.

What you’ll do:

• Leveraging Lectora Online, build and implement learning pathways for our people to build and expand on their capabilities to deliver the UoF program
• Work in partnership with the technical experts across Commercial Insurance to design effective, efficient, and innovative digital learning experiences aligned to the UoF program goals
• Design, develop, test, publish and maintain high-quality Lectora-based eLearning modules that support capability uplift and business performance outcomes
• Apply agreed Suncorp learning methodologies, adult learning principles, approaches, tools, resources and instructional design frameworks when designing engaging end effective learning solutions (e.g. ADDIE)
• Develop learning objectives, knowledge checks, assessments, practical learning activities, evaluation strategies and learning pathways aligned to learning outcomes.  

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in Lectora (all versions), with proven experience independently designing, building, testing and publishing end-to-end eLearning modules
• Strong instructional design capability, including application of adult learning principles and design methodologies
• Experience translating complex technical content into learner-centred experience
• Experience working collaboratively with SMEs and stakeholders to design capability solutions
• Experience developing assessments, knowledge checks and learning activities aligned to learning outcomes.
