Could you brighten someone's day with a friendly chat and a listening ear?
An older person living in our dementia-specific cottage would benefit from the companionship of a Lebanese-speaking volunteer who can share conversation, cultural connection, and social engagement.
Through regular visits, you'll have the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, share stories, and help create moments of comfort, familiarity, and joy.
What you'll do:
• One-hour visits, weekly • Monday to Friday • Either at 10:00am or between 1:00pm and 3:00pm • Visits take place in a dementia-specific cottage.
This is a wonderful opportunity to make a genuine difference in someone's life while sharing the comfort of language, culture, and human connection.
HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
Thank you for expressing an interest in volunteering with HammondCare.
We truly love connecting with people who want to volunteer with us. Our team will reach out with a phone call or text as soon as we can, and if we’re unable to get through, we’ll follow up with an email. Please take a moment to check your spam or junk folder as well, as some email providers don’t always recognise our messages right away.
