As our highly valued Lifestyle Coordinator, you will enhance the wellbeing, independence, and quality of life of residents through coordinating the provision of a meaningful and engaging lifestyle program. You will also be responsible for coordinating the home’s volunteer program, to enhance resident engagement and connection.

You’ll also make an impact by:

• Delivering person-centred lifestyle services that promote residents’ physical, emotional, cultural, spiritual, cognitive and social wellbeing
• Building meaningful relationships with residents to understand their life history, preferences, strengths, goals, and support needs
• Designing, coordinating, and implementing an inclusive lifestyle program that reflects resident choice and aligns with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
• Maintaining accurate documentation of resident participation, attendance, preferences, and outcomes
• Conducting regular evaluations of the lifestyle program using resident feedback, surveys, observations, audits, quality indicators and participation data
• Coordinating the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and ongoing support of volunteers
• Providing leadership, guidance, and support to Lifestyle Assistants

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
• Minimum 12 months experience working within aged care, disability, community services, or a related sector
• Demonstrated understanding of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and person centred care principles
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems
• Experience supporting older people and/or vulnerable individuals
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organisation, and time management skills
• Ability to lead, coordinate, and motivate staff and volunteers
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Experience in program planning, evaluation, and quality improvement activities
• Driver’s Licence
• Valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance or willing to obtain one

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

• Degree level qualification in Leisure and Health, Community Services, Social Work, or related field
• Certificate III in Aged Care
• Current First Aid certificate
• Experience coordinating volunteers or community engagement program
