Your role
This role works closely with frontline Community Corrections staff, external stakeholders, and local service providers to deliver support and tailored interventions to people under community corrections supervision.
The role is the primary contact point, representative, and advocate for Local Coordinated Multi-agency (LCM) offender management in the Wagga Wagga area. It is the conduit between Community Corrections and multiple government and non-government agencies with the key aim to assist people under supervision with complex needs who require multiple supports.
LCM is an intensive, interagency program designed to reduce reoffending. This is a key role within Community Corrections and requires a person with skills, knowledge and qualities to be able to work with people we supervise, coordinate interagency responses to the needs of the people we supervise, and enhance the safety of the community.
What you’ll do
We are looking for a key driver who is prepared to maintain connections and commitment from all agencies involved in reducing adult re-offending.
LCM brings together several government agencies with Community Corrections: including Department of Communities and Justice agencies such as: Housing, Child Protection as well as NSW Health, NSW Police, and various NGO’s; to manage persistent reoffenders with multiple needs residing in the community. These agencies work together to arrange access to interventions to address individual needs, criminogenic factors, and improve community safety.
