Job Tasks and Responsibilities

As the Maintenance Supervisor you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, availability and performance of Yarrabee’s excavator fleet and associated field assets. You will lead frontline teams, coordinate daily maintenance activities and reinforce a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.

• Provide visible frontline leadership that builds trust, accountability and teamwork.


• Lead maintenance crews to safely deliver planned and breakdown maintenance activities.


• Coordinate maintenance execution across excavators and field assets to maximise equipment availability.


• Drive a proactive safety culture through effective risk management and compliance with the site SHMS.


• Ensure maintenance work is completed to the required quality and reliability standards.


• Support incident investigations and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.


• Coach and develop tradespeople and operators to improve capability and performance.


• Monitor work execution and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.


• Manage contractor activities within your area of responsibility.

Skills and Experience

What You Bring

• Trade qualification and Supervisor Competencies (S1, S2, S3, G2).


• Current Standard 11 and Queensland Driver’s Licence.


• Demonstrated experience supervising maintenance teams in mining or heavy industry.


• Strong knowledge of excavator and mobile mining equipment maintenance.


• Experience coordinating contractors and multiple stakeholders.


• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
