About the team:

Line 2 role with a primary purpose to provide risk and compliance advice, independent review, constructive challenge and oversight at the Licensee level as a market operator, clearing and settlement facility. The position requires some compliance experience, coordination / project planning experience, working collaboratively with Line 1 to drive quality results. to support the Head coordinate, monitor and drive the regulatory commitments, enabling the team to run in an efficient and effective manner.

The Enterprise Risk and Compliance team sits within the 2nd Line Risk division, with accountability for all Risk and Compliance activity across ASX. The Risk and Compliance Advisory team operates as a second-line function, responsible for the design and maintenance of Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks and Policies (including Compliance), Risk Culture, Policy Governance, Risk Capability and Accountability Frameworks to Industry and regulatory best practice standards with particular emphasis reflecting ASX's role as a steward of Critical Market Infrastructure.

What you will be doing:

Role specific
  • Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a consistent, enterprise-wide approach to regulatory reporting compliance across ASX.
  • Support the management of Regulatory Reporting Risk across the organisation, including the conduct of risk assessments, development and operation (controls, monitoring, reporting and governance) the Regulatory Reporting Policy.
  • Monitor and report on the implementation, embedding and ongoing operation of the Regulatory Reporting Standard and associated procedures across ASX.
  • Advise, assess, monitor and report on the organisation's regulator reporting posture, providing clear insights and recommendations to senior management and governance forums.
  • Support the continuous improvement in regulatory reporting frameworks, methodologies and reporting practices to enhance effectiveness, efficiency and regulatory outcomes.
  • Influence and advise the business on better practice approaches, supporting capability uplift and driving compliance outcomes to meet regulatory expectations.
  • Work closely with various Line 1 Risk and Compliance Representatives.
  • Challenge the business on the quality of the solutions proposed to address regulatory recommendations applying best practice standards with a Regulator lens.
  • Track and report on the delivery of our Regulator commitments, planning and execution of the combined.
  • Prepare, report and present on the Regulatory Reporting posture to internal and external stakeholders and Committees as relevant.

What you will bring:

Must have
  • Familiarity and experience in risk management concepts, frameworks, and tools, with a ability to identify, assess and manage key non-financial risks across an enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years Risk and Compliance capability, with demonstrated experience providing advice, insight and challenge across risk management, financial markets, largescale project delivery, and regulatory remediation programs.
  • Ability to articulate risk and compliance matters to positively influence risk culture and behaviours.
  • Experience engaging with working groups and governance forums, including the ability to engage discussion, outcomes and support informed decision making.
  • Facilitation, influencing and negotiation skills, developed trusted and collaborative relationships across stakeholder groups, subject matter experts, and leaders.
  • Experience improving Operational Risk environments and culture.

Nice to have:
  • Legal expertise in financial or similar Industry
  • Experience in large scale Enterprise-wide risk transformations.
  • Experience in different elements of the 3 lines of defence and with different elements of the ERMF including compliance
  • Experience across RBA Financial Stability Standards and Licensee Compliance Reporting to Regulators.
  • Experience in Regulatory engagement.
