M&A Modelling & Insights - Manager

We’re growing our Modelling & Insights team in Sydney and we are looking for a Manager who is curious, commercially minded and excited by solving complex problems that really matter.

In this role, you’ll work at the heart of major transactions and capital investment decisions, partnering with leading organisations across the private and public sectors. You’ll be supported by a high-performing, collaborative team who genuinely enjoy what they do, invest in each other’s development, and celebrate success.

What will your typical day look like?

No two days are the same, but you can expect to:

• Be part of a highly collegiate, high-performing team that values quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.


• Build, review and enhance financial models that support transactions, capital investments and strategic decision making.


• Manage projects, client relationships and junior team members.


• Work across a broad range of industries, with the opportunity to develop a specialisation aligned to your interests.


• Learn from highly experienced financial modellers and advisers who work with C-suite and executive leadership teams.

About the team

Our Modelling & Insights team advises clients on their most critical capital decisions, from mergers and acquisitions to major infrastructure and growth investments.

Our advice is underpinned by robust, fit-for-purpose financial models that help clients test assumptions, understand risk and make confident, well-informed decisions. Beyond transactions, we support clients with forecasting, scenario planning and business case development, often in complex and high-profile situations.

 
Enough about us, let's talk about you.

You don’t need to tick every box, but you’ll likely bring:

• A curious mindset and a positive attitude.


• A genuine interest in financial modelling and commercial problem solving.


• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (or a strong desire to build them quickly)


• 4+ years’ experience in:


• Financial modelling; or


• A relevant quantitative role (e.g. audit, tax, consulting, analytics) with a desire to transition into modelling.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
